Domanie Wachau wines
Domäne Wachau is one of Austria’s top premium white wine producers and the only winery to make wines representing all of the Wachau’s most prestigious crus. It functions as a large cooperative with more than 440 hectares of vineyards in the Wachau owned by its members. Their top vineyards include Achleiten, Kollmitz, Loibenberg and Tausend-Eimer-Berg, with the majority planted on steep terraces flanking the Danube river.

The challenging conditions in these vineyards help to produce low yields of intense, concentrated fruit with a distinctive elegance and poise thanks to refreshing acidity levels. This unusual bottling is crafted from sustainably and organically-grown fruit that is fermented spontaneously with wild yeasts. After six months of maturation in clay amphora vessels the wine is then bottled without any added sulphur.
