    History

    This majestic Spanish red is the flagship wine of Bodegas y Vinedos San Roman which was founded by Mariano García in 1998 in the up-and-coming Toro region. Mariano worked for the world-renowned Vega Sicilia winery for thirty years before leaving to found his own family winery where he works with his two sons, Alberto and Eduardo. In total, they own 100 hectares of vineyards in Toro where the extreme continental climate with hot, dry summers and very cold winters is ideal for making powerful and concentrated red wines.
