Anima Negra
History
Ànima Negra was founded in 1994 on the gorgeous island of Mallorca by two friends and self-taught winemakers, Pere Ignasi Obrador and Miquelàngel Cerdà. The duo’s first vintage was just two barrels of Callet grapes which they made in some unused milk tanks on Pere’s family dairy farm.
The winemakers at Amisfield believe in minimal winemaking intervention which ultimately gives them the highest quality wines with the varietal purity that this method brings. Coupled with very strict yield management, the top quality fruit offers concentrated flavours that develop into complex, very interesting wines..

Interesting Facts
The winery is considered one of Spain’s finest natural wine producers thanks to their commitment to biodynamic practices, dry farming in the vineyards, and use of wild yeasts for fermentation. Their flagship wine is AN which is primarily composed of the indigenous Callet variety as well as some Mantonegre and Fogoneu. Grapes are hand harvested from old vines in the Son Negre sub-region where the intense summer sun produces perfectly ripe fruit with great concentration.
