Agricola Punica wines
History
This elite wine estate was founded in 2002 by a team of world-renowned winemakers upon the concept of developing a winery dedicated to the Carignano grape and their recognition that it was ideally cultivated in the land and climate offered by Sardinia, a rich land with an extensive history in viticulture spanning back over 5,000 years. From this unique philosophical standpoint, Agricola Punica was born, and currently produces two highly priced wines: Barrua and Montessu.

Interesting Facts
The legendary enologist from Tuscany, Giacomo Tachis, became convinced of the incredible potential for Sardinia's winemaking industry, especially quality, barrel-aged wines rather than the bulk production it had been dedicated to for many decades. Together, he collaborated with his colleagues to develop this partnership, which also includes Dr. Sebastiano Rosa, Sardinian winery Cantina Sociale di Santadi, Tenuta San Guido (directed by Marchese Nicoló Incisa della Rocchetta and Santadi president Antonello Pilloni).
