Quinta da Falorca is one of the four vineyards which make up the Quinta Vale Das Escadinhas estate. The winery was established by the Costa Barros de Figuerido family five generations ago on the steep south-facing banks of the river Dão in central Portugal. This region is rich in indigenous grape varieties and it is the original homeland of the characterful Touriga Nacional grape which is used in this single varietal wine.
The Quinta da Falorca vineyard is ideal for crafting bold red wines thanks to the full exposure to the sun and warm Mediterranean climate. There are at least 31 clones of the Touriga Nacional grape planted here which help to give this bottling its unique personality and charm. The estate do not age this wine in oak in order to showcase the pure character of the Touriga Nacional grape.

The first sip reveals a firm structure, full body and dry tannins which make this an excellent partner for wintry beef stews, roast lamb, or venison dishes seasoned with herbs.
