Bright citrus and strawberries dominate the profile of this Rosado elaborated from 100% Prieto Picudo. The cheerful strawberry rose color invites you to enjoy this clear and bright refreshment on a warm summer day.
Intense aromas of strawberry mingling with fresh lime and citrus leave your mouth watering to take the first sip of this refreshing Rosado. Due to the carbonic residue in the wine, a delightful tingling sensation will be the first to greet your palate. Fresh and intense strawberry laced with a touch of peach balance the dry citrus and herbal tones nicely through the crisp, clean finale.
At 13% ABV, this Prieto Picudo Rosado is perfect to serve al fresco, with or without food. Serving temps of 8°C - 10°C is optimal. Agreeable food pairings include salads, white meat dishes, rice dishes, fish or shellfish, cold appetizers, fresh strawberries and cream, and citrus fruits with mint. Viñedos y Bodega Pardevalles was founded by Rafael Alonso in 1949 in the D.O. Tierra de León. The operation is now run by Rafael’s grandson, also named Rafael Alonso. The region is surrounded by the River Esla and in close proximity to the Picos de Europa mountain range. The area is a high-elevated plain with an altitude of 750 – 860 meters with a strong continental climate producing noticeable and pronounced temperature ranges throughout the day. These are favorable conditions for the development of the aromatic substances on the skin of the Prieto Picudo grapes.
