Despite being labelled as Premier Cru, the Forget-Brimont estate always goes the extra mile by including grapes from their Grand Cru vineyards in their Premier Cru Champagnes. The result is a luxurious blend of 40% Pinot Noir, 40% Pinot Meunier and 20% Chardonnay which sings with aromas of lemon zest, green apples, ginger and hints of hazelnuts.
Aged for at least thirty months on the lees in a traditional chalk cellar typical of the Champagne region, the palate shows sumptuous brioche, citrus and ripe melon flavours which linger generously on the tongue and a rich, creamy texture. An excellent choice for an aperitif with friends or to serve alongside a light veal dish or chicken in a creamy white sauce.
Producer Michel Forget owns 9 hectares of some of the finest Grand Cru and Premier Cru Pinot Noir vineyards in the Montagne de Reims region. His team hand-selects the grapes for this wine from 100 different vineyard parcels to ensure only the highest quality grapes are used. In order to maintain a consistent house style each year, this non-vintage Champagne is crafted by blending together wines from three vintages. With six generations of winemaking tradition behind him, Michel has fine-tuned the grape-growing and winemaking process to craft elegant, thoughtful wines that offer incredible value for money.
